Gerry Goulet is the Chairman of Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP's Health Practice Group. His practice concentrates in health law including regulatory, corporate and reimbursement matters affecting institutional providers and individual practitioners. He has particular experience in matters involving strategic planning, institutional affiliations, managed care, the certificate-of-need process, health care facility and practitioner licensing laws, and Medicare/Medicaid and other third party insurance reimbursement disputes. He also represents individual health care practitioners in corporate matters, including physician networks and practice acquisitions. Gerry regularly is called upon by health care clients to draft legislation and prepare comments on regulations proposed by state agencies.
Prior to this, Gerry was the Chief of the Division of Medical Care Standards of the Rhode Island Department of Health between 1978 and 1981. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, a masters degree in public health from Yale University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut.
