Josh Rahman practices primarily in the areas of health care and corporate law as well as entertainment law.

Mr. Rahman has extensive experience in the implementation and assessment of compliance programs and the design and implementation of medical privacy protocols in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Mr. Rahman serves on the firm’s Health Care Practice Group. In that capacity, he regularly counsels health care professionals, voluntary associations and health-related businesses on compliance with Virginia and federal laws and regulations. He also represents traditional health care providers, health plans and third-party plan sponsors in audits, regulatory matters, and in contractual negotiations and disputes with certain types of managed care organizations.

Corporate Law

His corporate experience includes organizing, planning, and counseling, as well as providing an extensive range of legal services to individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, closely held and publicly held corporations. He has also worked extensively in the areas of real estate and entertainment law.

Personal Background

Born in South Bend, Indiana, Mr. Rahman has lived in the Richmond, Virginia area most of his life. He obtained his B. A. from Hampden-Sydney College in 1994. In 1998, he received his law degree from the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.

Professional Affiliations

Mr. Rahman is an active member of both the Virginia and Richmond Bar Associations and is a member of the Chambers of Commerce of Richmond, Fredericksburg and Farmville, Virginia.

Community Involvement

Mr. Rahman is the founder of TrePadges, a charitable organization dedicated to helping children and young adults in the Central Virginia area.
